American Cities Rebuilding: Closing the digital divide

NJ Spotlight News | October 25, 2020 | Education

The live part of the American Cities Rebuilding virtual conference has ended, but NJ Spotlight News will continue to post recordings of its discussions and films in the coming days and weeks. The conference — held Oct. 15-16 and and hosted by WNET, NJTV and NJ Spotlight News — examined how cities in New Jersey and nationwide are faring during the COVID-19 pandemic and at a time of social unrest.

In this panel discussion on the digital divide in K-12 education, NJ Spotlight News founding editor John Mooney talks with Evan Marwell, the founder and CEO of EducationSuperHighway, and Karen Cator, president and CEO of Digital Promise and former director of the federal office of educational technology in the Obama administration.
