Audible, the world’s largest provider of audio books, is launching a new program called the Global Center for Urban Development. It’ll focus on Newark, the home of the company’s New Jersey branch, but work on improving the lives of those living in all 14 of Audible’s locations around the world.
Aisha Glover is one of the country’s most well-known urban development leaders. Next month, she’ll step down from her role as president and chief executive officer of the Newark Alliance to focus on racial and economic justice as vice president of urban innovation for Audible. She spoke with Anchor Briana Vannozzi about what that means for local residents.
