A new guidance by the CDC outlining for a return to in-person education

The new CDC guidance placed a heavy emphasis on mitigation strategies that’ve already been a key part of NJ's school plans

School leaders are still trying to digest a set of plans released late Friday afternoon by the CDC, a 35-page roadmap with some of the clearest guidance yet for safely returning students to in-person learning. To do it,  schools will have to hit a number of safety criteria and make sure community spread is low. But it also addressed a political lightning rod, vaccinating teachers. Correspondent Joanna Gagis has more on whether New Jersey’s educators are giving the plans a passing grade.
