Sweeney Wants to Start Fresh With Murphy

NJ Senate president delves into where negotiations stand on tax incentives and his plans for more pension and health benefit reforms

The state’s two largest business tax incentive programs expired at the end of last month without a replacement. The Legislature passed a bill to extend the current program. Gov. Phil Murphy has vowed to veto it, but he’s yet to take action either way. Murphy has his own reform plans.
