Everyone in New Jersey knows our governor is interesting. But as the Christie administration celebrated its 100th town hall event Wednesday, his press office sent out a few statistics that underscore that opinion. The most astounding might be that there have been more than 2.6 million views of Gov. Chris Christie’s town hall videoclips on YouTube. (There are 165 clips of these events online.)
Other notable numbers: all 21 counties have been visited; they’ve consumed 150 hours; there have been five different entrance and exit songs (two each by New Jersey locals Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi, as well as the Iron Man Movie Theme); one absentee note written for a student; and zero for the number of times the events have started on time.
