Senate Moves Marriage Equality Bill One Step Closer (Video)

Controversial measure is headed for the Assembly and then onto the floor of the full legislature.

With a great deal of fanfare but not enough votes for an override, the state Senate yesterday advanced the marriage equality bill. The bill next moves to the state Assembly on Thursday, where passage is all but certain. But it too looks like just a precursor to a standoff between Democrats and Gov. Chris Christie, who is sure to veto the measure.
