Senate fails to approve economic stimulus bill

For the second time, a divided Senate failed to approve a COVID-19 economic stimulus bill. Democrats say they want a priority of helping workers over businesses, while Republicans accuse the Democrats of trying to add unrelated measures to the bill. Negotiations continue.

The CEO of the New Jersey Business and Industry Association urges that any bill approved be free of hurdles and red tape so that businesses can easily apply for the help they need.

Gov. Phil Murphy says the state will crackdown on non-essential businesses that stay open.
