In South Jersey, a member of one of the most famous political dynasties is fighting to take over the District 2 Congressional seat. Amy Kennedy, a former public school teacher and the daughter-in-law of U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy, beat establishment-backed political science professor Brigid Callahan Harrison in one the most closely watched primaries this year. She’s slowly picking up endorsements that previously went to her GOP opponent, former Democrat-turned-Republican Rep. Jeff Van Drew.
