On Friday, the House passed a sweeping $2.2 trillion coronavirus relief bill aimed at helping households, businesses and struggling health care systems, and President Trump signed it. It’s the largest emergency relief package in U.S. history. It comes as New Jersey reports another overnight surge in the number of total COVID-19 cases.
Gov. Phil Murphy on Friday announced the state total is at 8,825, with 1,982 new cases overnight and a total of 108 fatalities.
