Job losses continue due to COVID-19

Another 140,000 New Jersey residents joined the many others who have lost their jobs and filed for first time unemployment benefits in this past week. Since mid-March, more than 858,000 New Jersey workers have filed for unemployment.

Nationally, another 4.4 million Americans filed for unemployment, bringing the total job losses from the pandemic to over 26 million.
