Hi, I’m 39th District Assemblyman Bob Auth.

Along with my teammate, Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi, I have made protecting the taxpayers of Bergen and Passaic Counties my top priority.

I believe state government can do more with less by better focusing your tax dollars on our priorities – things like education, public safety, and more.

Unfortunately, Governor Murphy and his allies in Trenton believe that higher taxes and more spending are the answer. All that has gotten us is jobs and people leaving our state.

I believe differently. I believe taxpayers pay enough…which is why I voted against a gas tax increase, have led the fight against this Governor’s tax and spend agenda, and will make reinstating the arbitration cap that protected property taxpayers my main focus in the coming year.

I know New Jersey government can do better for you, and how you want to be treated as a taxpayer is one of the key questions this election.

Of course, as your Assemblyman, I am focused on issues big and small that matter to our communities – and am working with Republicans and Democrats to address them.

I authored an expansion of Joan’s Law and worked across the political aisle to pass it so that, today, we are better protecting children from molestation.

I support efforts to help combat the horrible opioid and heroin epidemic that has gripped our state by focusing on addiction treatment, better control of prescriptions, and tougher penalties against dealers.

I stood up for doctors and patients – and stood up to big insurance companies – to help in the effort for more accessible healthcare.

I’ve spent countless hours working with local officials of both parties to address important local issues as well – from flooding to traffic and everything in between.

And I have authored legislation that delivers more than $70 million to help local communities protect and preserve open space, and better develop parks and recreation areas for public use.

As your Assemblyman, I’ve put politics aside to focus on what you have told me is important. If that’s the kind of record you’d like to see continued, I’d appreciate your vote. Thank you.
