Favorite thing about NJ: “I love this state for many reasons. This state is, first off, beautiful. As a truck driver, I get to see all parts of New Jersey, all parts of the country. And one of the aspects that I find most appealing – more than any – is we have four seasons, and not an extreme. We never have a cold extreme, we never have a heat extreme. It’s never the worst of anything. And, again, we are central to many great locations – we have New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. surrounding New Jersey. We can go anywhere we want and see any area.”

Hello New Jersey,

My name is Edward Durr, I am the Republican candidate for assembly in LD3. I have lived in New Jersey all my life. I am blue-collar, and I currently drive a tractor-trailer for a living. I have watched as the failed Democratic policies have driven New Jersey closer to the edge of ruin. The legislature has been under Democratic control for nearly two decades, giving us high taxes and overbearing regulations with no relief in sight. Murphy and the Democrats have fostered a feeling of hopelessness and despair, forcing many to leave being unable to flourish under these conditions. New Jersey does rank 1st place in many categories, unfortunately, they are in all the wrong things.

Since 2018 Murphy and the Democrats have given the citizens of New Jersey 14 new taxes, creating a harsh environment for the residents and companies. Most recently the Democratic legislature has passed a budget of 38.7 billion dollars, being an increase of 5 billion in just 2 years. The Democrats have been doing the same thing for 20 years giving us the same results year after year. What is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result. With businesses closing, jobs lost and family homes being foreclosed upon, we can no longer continue doing the same thing over and over, it is time to take a different path.

I believe that the people of New Jersey deserve better. I believe in fiscal responsibility, in smaller government, in more freedoms. I believe we need to cut taxes and cut spending. I believe with cutting income, corporate and other state taxes we can allow the people and businesses to grow. We need to make New Jersey more inviting for companies to move here. We need to find ways to help cut property taxes for homeowners to make New Jersey a better place to live. I believe the citizens of New Jersey need someone who will fight for their right of self-protection. I believe we need to fight for the unborn, for the innocent babies. I want to help make New Jersey a state we can be proud of again. I want to be that person for New Jersey. I ask for your vote this November. My name is Edward Durr. Thank You and God Bless America.
