John Farmer is Director of the Rutgers University Eagleton Institute of Politics and Director of the Miller Center for Community Protection and Resilience, a Rutgers University Professor, and Justice Alan B. Handler Scholar. He is the former dean of Rutgers School of Law – Newark, Attorney General of New Jersey, and Chief Counsel to Gov. Christine Todd Whitman. He served as senior counsel and team leader for the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (commonly known as the 9/11 Commission) and authored “The Ground Truth: The Untold Story of America Under Attack on 9/11,” a reconsideration of the government’s 9/11 response.
