The administration of Gov. Phil Murphy this week moved to hasten its clean-energy goals by penning a model ordinance designed to streamline and standardize the local approval process for charging stations for electric vehicles in each of New Jersey’s 565 municipalities. Murphy has set a goal of 100% clean energy in the state by 2050. The transportation sector is responsible for 40% of fossil-fuel emissions.
