NJ Spotlight News | September 20, 2021 | NJ Decides 2021

The 30th District encompasses 14 communities in Monmouth and Ocean counties: Avon-by-the-Sea, Belmar, Bradley Beach, Brielle, Farmingdale, Howell, Lake Como, Lakewood, Manasquan, Point Pleasant, Sea Girt, Spring Lake, Spring Lake Heights and Wall.

More than a third of registered voters are Republicans, while 21% are Democrats, and most of the others are unaffiliated.

The race for the Senate seat features Republican incumbent Sen. Robert Singer, former mayor of Lakewood, against Democrat Dan Stinger, community manager and small business owner in Howell Township.

Republican Assembly members Sean Kean, an attorney, and Edward H. Thomson, an actuary, both of Wall are seeking re-election. They are challenged by Democrats Stephen Dobbins, a Howell business owner, and Matt Filosa, a Monmouth University senior, for the Assembly.
