NJ registered voters who knew when the state’s primary election was taking place

A survey of more than 900 registered voters conducted in late May showed that only roughly one in five knew that their next chance to cast a ballot would come on Tuesday. At the same time, however, nearly 80% said they intended to vote in the primary.

The poll, conducted by the Rutgers Eagleton Institute of Politics, also found that 49% of registered voters had a favorable impression of Gov. Phil Murphy, who was unopposed in Tuesday’s Democratic primary; 37% had an unfavorable impression and 11% had no opinion.
