Counting down to NJ’s COVID-19 milestone: 1 million cases

Since the first case of the disease was confirmed in the state more than a year ago, NJ has gone through several waves of infection and hospitalization

New Jersey is expected to reach 1 million total positive COVID-19 cases this week, possibly as early as Tuesday. Since the first confirmed case last year, the state has gone through multiple peaks and waves of hospitalizations and cases.

Here is a look back on some of the milestones New Jersey has gone through.
