Last Friday at a coronavirus briefing, Commissioner of Health Judith Persichilli cited CDC modeling that indicates 60% of COVID-19 cases are transmitted from individuals experiencing no symptoms. She added, “testing is vital to identify this illness.”
Persichilli emphasized the need for individuals to frequently get tested, especially if they believe they were in a situation where they could have contracted the virus.
“Thanks to the hard work you all have done wearing a mask, physical distancing, staying home when sick, reducing social gatherings, our case numbers and hospitalizations are all heading in the right direction. But we must remain vigilant,” she said.
