NJ residents receiving weekly unemployment benefits, March 15 – June 6

The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development paid weekly unemployment benefits to 1,021,339 people from March 15 to June 6, by far the largest number of claimants the department ever served in such a short time. During the same 12-week period, $6.25 billion in federal and state benefits were paid out. Average weekly benefits were $1,050.
