Bridget Anne Kelly Discusses Supreme Court’s Overturning of Bridgegate Conviction

Former Christie administration official looks back at seven years of living with Bridgegate and forward to life without Bridgegate

Just hours after the United States Supreme Court unanimously ruled to dismiss her conviction in the Bridgegate scandal, Bridget Anne Kelly talked with Joanna Gagis of NJTV News. Kelly had been facing jail time, along with former Port Authority deputy director Bill Baroni, for involvement in the reduction of access lanes to the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee in September 2013 that led to days of traffic jams and charges that the operation was in service of then Gov. Chris Christie’s reelection ambitions. Kelly said in the interview that the court’s decision is “vindication for a crime that didn’t exist.”
