Average increase JCP&L customers could see on their monthly bills

If state regulators give Jersey City Power & Light the go-ahead on a proposed rate increase, typical customers will shell out $8.73 more each month for their electricity. The increase will pay for some enhancements to the power grid, like new municipal LED streetlights, and to recover costs incurred for restoring power during severe storms.
