Voting takes place from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. today; we will have complete results when the polls close

Today is Election Day in New Jersey. The polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Anyone who received a mail-in ballot can use that to vote as long as they get it postmarked today and it arrives at the county clerk’s office by Thursday.

All 80 state Assembly seats are on the ballot, along with an unexpired Senate seat in the 1st District in South Jersey. There is also a statewide ballot question asking voters if veterans in continuing care retirement communities should get the same $250 annual property tax break that vets who own a home receive. County, municipal and school board seats are also on the ballot, along with some local and school ballot questions.

If you are still making up your mind, visit NJ Spotlight’s elections page for information on every race, how to find where to vote and other information; and check in after the polls to see how the most competitive races are shaping up.

NJTV News, our sister organization, will have all results here or use our map to find your legislative district and get results that way. NJTV News will also offer live election coverage via its YouTube channel throughout the evening after the polls close and a special live news broadcast at 11 p.m. on local NJTV stations and online.
