Legislative District 27

NJ Spotlight is sharing election coverage with NJTV News, our sister organization, which invited all candidates to complete a brief survey and record a video message; we have included those for all the candidates who responded.

The 27th District encompasses 14 communities in Essex and Morris counties: Caldwell, Chatham Township, East Hanover, Essex Fells, Florham Park, Hanover, Harding, Livingston, Madison, Maplewood, Millburn, Roseland, South Orange, and West Orange.

The district swings “blue,” with 42% of voters registered as Democrats, 21% Republicans, and most of the rest unaffiliated.

Both Democratic Assembly members are seeking re-election. They are John McKeon of West Orange and Mila Jasey of South Orange.

The Republican ticket is composed of Michael Dailey of Madison and Mauro G. Tucci Jr. of Caldwell.
