The state Division of Gaming Enforcement has just released the figures for total gaming revenue for September 2019, and overall the numbers look good — $303.5 million, a 7.8% increase over the $281.5 million for September 2018.
September’s casino winnings came in at $224.5 million, down 3.2%. Internet gaming winnings were $41.1 million in September, compared with $25.8 million for the previous September, an increase of 59.7%. Sports wagering gross revenue was $37.9 million for the month, compared with $23.8 million for the same month last year, a 59.3% increase.
Year-to-date total gaming revenue was $2.581 billion through September 2019 compared with $2.148 billion through September 2018, an increase of 20.2%. Casino winnings were $2.052 billion, an 8.5% increase. Internet gaming winnings increased 57% to $339.0 million. Sports wagering gross revenue was $190.6 million.
In September 2019, total gaming taxes were $26.6 million.
