As he campaigns in Nevada, Booker looks to build on his positive debate showing and fundraising numbers

Sen. Cory Booker has been having a good week since NBC’s Democratic Presidential Debates and he’s looking to build on that momentum as he campaigns in Nevada ahead of the next round of debates on CNN later in July.

NJTV News Senior Correspondent David Cruz says Booker will be shifting his focus to policy as he hosts a roundtable discussion Friday to discuss his new immigration plan, much of which would be carried out through executive order and includes resolving the DACA question and closing migrant detention centers at the southern border.

Polls are still showing Booker in the low single digits, but his team says those polls are more about name recognition and that it’s more notable he’s raised $1 million over the past several days and added 20,000 individual donors.
