Voting in any election is a right and a responsibility. Voting in the upcoming midterm elections is even more than that: It’s a way to help shape the immediate future of this country. It’s no secret that Democrats are hoping to flip some New Jersey districts from red to blue: Your vote and your voice can help make that a reality — or prevent it from happening, if you’re happy with what the GOP is doing.

Our content partner at NJTV News Online has put together a checklist that will let you know at a glance if you’re good to go — starting with whether you’re registered at all. If you’re not, they’ll tell you how to get registration forms sent to you by mail (in a variety of languages), where to find them online, or whether you can register in person at a Motor Vehicles’ office.

Of course, you’ll want to make sure that you’re voting for the best candidate. Our Elections 2018 page can help you there. You’ll also find resources about each congressional district and stories covering the hottest contests.
