Of all the politicians from New Jersey who serve in Washington, D.C., only U.S. Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-3) says the GOP’s tax-reform effort would not be bad for the Garden State.
He’s the only one of five Republicans in New Jersey’s delegation to vote for the House version of the legislation currently being negotiated in the capital. He’s also the only one who says the GOP plan would be good for the state.
“When other people are having press conferences and issuing press releases and bloviating in some cases, I actually went out and negotiated the $10,000 restoration of our deductions,” the South Jersey congressman said.
