Elections 2016: Congressional District 12

The 12th District includes Princeton, Trenton, and other Mercer municipalities, as well as parts of Middlesex, Somerset, and Union counties. This race shares the title of most crowded in New Jersey with the 2nd in South Jersey this year. Freshman Democrat Bonnie Watson Coleman is its representative. Her Republican opponent is Steven Uccio of East Windsor. There are also five independents running: Michael Bollentin of Hightstown, Libertarian Thomas Fitzpatrick of South Bound Brook, Robert Shapiro of Princeton, Green Party candidate Steven Welzer of East Windsor, and the colorful Edward Forchion of Trenton, who has run for numerous seats in the state and calls himself the Weedman.
