Elections 2016: 1st Congressional District

In the midst of his first term in office, Democratic Rep. Donald Norcross is facing four opponents in the 1st Congressional District, which includes the city of Camden and its suburbs, as well as portions of Burlington and Gloucester counties. This is prime blue territory, with Democrats dominating the voter rolls and a Democrat holding this seat for more than four decades, making all the challengers underdogs. The Republican nominee is Bob Patterson of Voorhees. Three independents are on the ballot: Michael Berman of Haddonfield, Libertarian William Sihr IV of Williamstown, and Scot John Tomaszewski of Cherry Hill.
