In the midst of his first term in office, Democratic Rep. Donald Norcross is facing one opponent in the primary in the 1st Congressional District, which includes the city of Camden and its suburbs, as well as portions of Burlington and Gloucester counties. Alex Law of Oaklyn is challenging the Camden incumbent. On the Republican side, Bob Patterson of Voorhees is unopposed. This is prime blue territory, with Democrats dominating the voter rolls and a Democrat holding this seat for more than four decades.
