New Jersey’s 9th Congressional District, which contains parts of Bergen, Hudson, and Passaic counties, has a quiet primary. Democratic incumbent Bill Pascrell Jr., in office since 1997, is unopposed. So is Republican Hector Castillo. This is considered a safely blue district, with more than a third of voters registered as Democrats.
