If you’re looking for some clarity or perspective as to what’s going on with the Republican Party presidential hopefuls, don’t expect much help from the candidates themselves. They seem to spend all their time bashing one another, making bombastic pronouncements about their vision, and blasting the Democrats. (When they’re not threatening to build walls between us and our neighbors to the south.)
Enter former Gov. Christine Todd Whitman.
Whitman offers a take-no-prisoners assessment of the GOP and its chances in November, starting with the assertion that a Trump candidacy would mean a big loss and could ultimately cost Republicans seats in the upper and lower chambers.
