In order to ensure that senior citizens maintain safety on the roads, the AAA Clubs of New Jersey found that 69 percent of motorists believe seniors should be subject to mandatory driving retesting, according the “AAA 2016 Report to the Legislature.” Of those asked, 26 percent oppose the idea — 14 percent strongly. Strong support was voiced by 42 percent.

When asked at what age retesting should begin, 44 percent said between the ages of 70 and 79, 25 percent said by the age 60, and 17 percent said 80 or older.
