Newark ranked first in Northeast for solar per capita

Environment New Jersey has just released a report that shows Newark is the No. 1 solar city in the Northeast. According to the report, Newark has installed 22 megawatts of solar panels, which ranks it 16th in the country for solar deployments. When population is factored in, Newark ranks eighth in the country — and first in the Northeast. Only New York — which has installed 41 megawatts of solar panels — has more, but obviously the Big Apple has a much larger population.
