Prominent developers discuss expectations and challenges for Garden State’s urban centers

While we’re on winter hiatus we’ll be publishing podcasts of some of the most compelling and challenging sessions from our October NJ Spotlight On Cities conference, as well as a podcast diary of a colleague who is struggling with breast cancer.

Builders and developers play obvious and integral roles in the revitalization of a city. So at NJ Spotlight On Cities, we thought we’d ask some of the most prominent developers in the state — particularly those who have been working in New Jersey’s urban centers — for their take on the roles of both the private and public sectors in reenergizing a city.

Peter Kasabach, executive director of New Jersey Future, moderated the panel that featured Ron Beit, CEO of RBH Group, LLC and president of RBH Management; Paul Silverman, co¬-founder and principal of Silverman; and Christiana Foglio¬-Palmer, CEO of Community Investment Strategies.

Now we’re gearing up for our second year, to be held in the fall. Is there a development proposal near you that we should be taking a closer look at? Whether a success story, an exciting prospect, or a cautionary tale, we want to hear from you. Tell us about it by emailing us at oncities@njspotlight.com.
