Oases RE and Developer of Turn-Style
Susan Fine was responsible for renovation and retail transformation of Grand Central and is currently developing the first privately financed project within the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s subway system. Financed by Goldman Sachs, 34 stores will open this spring within the Columbus Circle subway station in the roadbed of 8th Avenue.
For over 30 years, Fine has practiced the nuts and bolts of the development process. She is particularly adept at working with the public sector — both as director of real estate for the MTA and as its private-sector partner — having worked with Amtrak (Madison Square Garden), the PANYNJ (Port Authority Bus Terminal), city and state of New York, the MTA, and branches of the federal government.
On October 16 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Fine will engage in a lunchtime conversation with Lee Keough, editor in chief of NJ Spotlight, and take questions from the audience. You can read more about Fine and her work in this 2014 article from the New York Times.
This is the first in a series of “spotlights” on our speakers for our upcoming October 16 conference, NJ Spotlight On Cities. You can see the full agenda and buy tickets online.
Discounted tickets are available for small nonprofits, students, and educators. For more information, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
