Residents of New Jersey’s 15th District have a new representative in the state Assembly.
This past weekend, Democratic leaders from Mercer and Hunterdon counties tapped Elizabeth Maher Muoio to fill the unexpired term of Bonnie Watson Coleman, who was elected to Congress in November’s election.
Muoio, who serves as chairwoman of the Mercer County Democratic Committee, will be sworn in on February 5. She will serve until the end of 2015, and must run for re-election in November if she wants to remain in the post.
