2014 Voter Guide: District 11

NJ Spotlight | May 27, 2014 | Elections 2014

New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District is a historically Republican area that contains portions of Essex, Morris, Passaic, and Sussex Counties.

It’s the only district in New Jersey this year without any independents on the ballot. Incumbent Rep. Rodney P. Freylinghuysen, finishing his 20th year in Congress, is facing Democrat Mark Dunec.

Dunec faces an uphill battle, since 29.8 percent of registered voters are Republicans, 25.3 percent are Democrats, and the remainder lean toward the GOP.
