Most PSE&G customers will get a credit on gas bills in February and March

The steep drop in natural gas prices, due to newfound gas deposits in the Marcellus Shale in the region, is benefiting PSE&G customers when it comes to their energy bills. The utility has announced that residential customers will get an average $40 credit on their gas bills in March, as well as February.

The typical PSE&G customer has a monthly winter gas bill of $164.97, but due to the cost reduction will see a $124.97 supply charge in both February and March. Some customers will not see the savings until April, depending on meter-reading schedules.
