Assemblyman John S. Wisniewski (D-Middlesex), deputy speaker of the lower chamber, has subpoenaed David Wildstein to appear before today’s Assembly Transportation Committee hearing at 1:00 p.m.
Wildstein is responsible for closing three access lanes to the George Washington Bridge last month, tying up traffic in the town of Fort Lee for several days. Wildstein created the traffic jam as political payback to Fort Lee mayor Mark Sokolich, for not backing Gov. Chris Christie during his bid for a second term.
Other members of the Christie administration who were involved in covering up the lane closures are also expected to testify.
