There’s life in the old mall yet.

Opened in the early 1960s, the Moorestown Mall has never been a glamorous shopping destination. Recently, it’s lagged behind its nearby contemporary, the Cherry Hill Mall, in the sophistication sweepstakes — high-end luxury stores Nordstrom and Couch are among Its upscale tenants.

But now, reports Tara Nurin for WHYY/NewsWorks, a partner of NJ Spotlight, two renowned chefs are hoping their new restaurants at the mall become dinner destinations for people from throughout South Jersey and the Philadelphia area — and hopefully become the catalyst for renewal and revival of the Moorestown Mall.
