The Christie administration announced a deal Thursday with, which has it building two new warehouses in New Jersey that they say will result in at least 1,500 new full-time jobs.

At the same time, New Jerseyans will have to start paying a 7 percent sales tax on purchases from Amazon beginning July 2013.

Currently, when residents purchase something online from a vendor that does not have a physical location in the state, they are not required to pay sales tax. The new applied sales tax is estimated to bring in about $30 million in revenues to the state annually.

The deal is contingent on Amazon accepting economic development incentives, which the administration would not reveal. Amazon is also expected to spend about $130 million in capital investment through the deal.
