The Brian Lehrer show explores how ten years of talking and listening to children has led to a new approach to teaching 9/11

For the past decade Donna Gaffney, co-founder of the 4 Action Initiative, and MaryEllen Salamone, co-founder of Families of September 11, have been talking to kids of all ages about the tragedy of 9/11. The information they gathered, along with advice and suggestions from other volunteers, is embodied in the K-12 curriculum, Learning from the Challenges of Our Times: Global Security, Terrorism, and 9/11 in the Classroom.
