Dem Newcomer to Challenge 12-Term GOP Congressman

Mikie Sherrill, one of seven women running for House seats in New Jersey, is looking to replace Rodney Frelinghuysen

Sen. Dick Codey (D-27) served up a candidate for Congress to a crowd of breakfasting Democrats at the Florham Park Diner, all there to endorse Mikie Sherrill, who’s running to unseat 12-term Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-11).

Sherrill — Naval Academy graduate, Navy chopper pilot, Assistant U.S. Attorney, and mom of four — stepped up to run after seeing a wave of activism sweep across the district.

Sherrill’s one of seven women running for House seats in New Jersey in 2018.
