Legislative District 30
The 30th District encompasses 14 communities in Monmouth and Ocean counties: Avon-by-the-Sea, Belmar, Bradley Beach, Brielle, Farmingdale, Howell, Lake Como, Lakewood, Manasquan, Point Pleasant, Sea Girt, Spring Lake, Spring Lake Heights, and Wall.
About a third of registered voters are Republicans, while 20 percent are Democrats, and most of the others are unaffiliated.
All three Republican incumbents are on the ballot: Sen. Robert Singer of Lakewood; Assemblymen Sean Kean; and Edward Thomson III, the former mayor of Wall who was chosen in August to replace David P. Rible, who left the Legislature to head the state Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
The Democrats’ team features Amy Sara Cores of Howell for Senate, and Eliot Arlo Colon of Brielle and Kevin Scott of Howell for Assembly.
