Singh, ‘Only True Conservative,’ Wants to Fix NJ’s Lack of Affordability
Atlantic City native believes American dream is in peril for next generation
Hirsh Singh, a 31-year-old native of Atlantic City who is running for the Republican Party’s gubernatorial nomination, says he is a “true example of the American dream.” He wants to become New Jersey’s next governor, he told The Brian Lehrer show on WNYC yesterday, “so we can make sure the next generation has that opportunity which I feel is under threat.”
The son of immigrants, Singh graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and has worked in the aerospace and defense industries. With zero government experience, he said he’s still the best fit for the state’s top job because he is “the only true conservative in the race.” His biggest concern, he said, is that “New Jersey has become completely unaffordable… New Jersey is a quagmire.”
