Jim Johnson, who’s hoping to snag the Democrats’ gubernatorial nomination for 2017, paid a visit to WNYC’s The Brian Lehrer Show yesterday to make his case to the voters.

What did the former Clinton Treasury department under-secretary and former chair of the Brennan Center for Justice have to say?

On the top of his priorities? Lowering New Jersey's high property-tax rate.

"It’s led NJ to become the state of the highest foreclosures, seniors can’t afford to stay in their homes," said Johnson. He also discussed policy proposals for public transportation, his case against single-payer healthcare, and more.

Stay on top of the issues and keep up with the candidates on NJ Spotlight’s Primaries 2017 page.
