With a $456,500 tax incentive, the Christie administration is luring to New Jersey a company that hopes to create up to 20 new green jobs in the renewable energy industry.
The company, Locus Energy, has chosen to move its current 15 employees to Hoboken over other locations in New York and promises to create another 20 jobs.
Locus Energy develops web-based performance and portfolio management software for renewable, distributed, energy systems. It also received a $1.45 million loan in 2011 through the Edison Innovation Green Growth Fund, a Christie administration program aimed at helping New Jersey clean technology companies advance energy-efficient and renewable energy products in the state.
