Nationwide, states and their localities are facing mounting fiscal challenges. In 2011, former New York Lieutenant Governor Richard Ravitch and former Federal Reserve Board Chair Paul A. Volcker assembled the State Budget Crisis Task Force to examine threats to U.S. states' near- and long-term fiscal sustainability.
On December 13, the Task Force will release its findings on the specific threats confronting the state of New Jersey.
