According to an inventory conducted by New Jersey Future, there are 243 distinct transit stations throughout New Jersey. Of the state’s 566 municipalities, 152 host at least one station. Ten are multimodal terminals; 205 are served only by rail -- including commuter rail, light rail, and PATH and PATCO rapid transit systems. There are 12 ferry terminals and 16 major bus terminals.
